Getting the Most Out of Visitor Management
With the prospect of people returning to the office, visitor management is quickly evolving from a tool to replace pen and paper tracking to helping protect the health and safety of employees. Michael Ruddo, IST’s Chief Strategy Officer, was recently interviewed by SDM Magazine and says, “Before the pandemic, visitor management focused on securing facilities against unauthorized guests. Post-pandemic, visitor management is also a data collection initiative. Building managers need to know who is in their facilities to support contact tracing efforts, social distancing guidelines and virus mitigation. At the same time, building managers are working to reduce touchpoints to stem the spread of infection.”
