Giving Back to Our Community

IST values the communities it works in and believes in supporting those in need. The pandemic has been especially hard on children and families that face food insecurity and other economic challenges.
To respond to this pressing need, IST has teamed up with the Women in Security Forum’s CAN DO Challenge to support local food pantries. IST team members in each of our offices collected and distributed gifts of food to these nonprofit organizations:
- Herndon Headquarters – IST Dulles South Food Pantry and College Park Food Bank
- Roanoke Office – Salem Food Pantry
- Richmond Office – Feed More
- Tidewater Office – St. John the Apostle Catholic Parish and Sandbridge Civic League Food Drive
IST also delivered over 3,000 pounds of food to six local charities in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Florida, Tennessee and Arizona. Each of these charities were selected by our employees and offices in these regions.
To make the holidays brighter for local children, IST also collects toys at our annual holiday party for distribution to the community.
In these ways, we hope to make our communities a better place to live by lifting up families and children affected by economic hardship.
